What we do in the winter season
Maintenance in winter
Through the winter we are mainly busy maintaining the apartments. The rooms are made ready for the next visitors in April. We reopen for our guests in early April.
Book your week or weekend away at Moezelzicht
We have several apartments with a view of the Moselle. A beautiful place full of nature, culture and history. Why wait? Book your ‘time to get away’ spot right now. On this website you will find our apartments, and everything Klotten and the surrounding area have to offer. What is there to do here? What is there not! Have a look around the website, and then come and see Klotten for yourself.
The current water level at Cochem
View the webcam on the Moselpromenade and see for yourself how high the water is.
Moezelzicht under water
Along the Moselle, in the German states of Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate and in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, a number of streets and houses have flooded. The Moselle is five metres higher than normal, because it has rained heavily over the past days in north-eastern France, where the Moselle rises.
That is down to rainfall and melting snow in higher-lying areas. Little of it is noticeable in the Netherlands so far, but German towns such as Cochem are under water. The water in the rivers in Gelderland and Overijssel is expected to rise sharply over the coming days as well.
